August 31, 2010: Dresser Wayne and Valero offer retailers rebate and discount incentives for installations through October 29
Dresser Wayne, a global innovator of fuel dispensers and technologies, announced today that the Nucleus point-of-sale (POS) system has been approved by Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE: VLO) for implementation at Valero-branded fuel sites across the United States. The popular touch-screen POS system has demonstrated its compatibility with the Valero payment network and seamless integration with Valero operations.
To celebrate the announcement, both Dresser Wayne and Valero are offering rebates and discounts for Nucleus POS-system installations through October 29th. The incentive program will help retailers as they upgrade POS systems to comply with Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA-DSS) and install POS systems at newly built sites.
"Valero's approval represents a winning arrangement from several perspectives," says Dave LaCaille, Dresser Wayne director for the Convenience Store Channel. "Fuel retailers benefit from the Nucleus system's business-enhancing features and regulatory compliance, and Dresser Wayne can expand its presence from fuel dispensers on Valero-branded forecourts to include the POS systems in stores."
The Nucleus POS system is one of the best-selling touch-screen POS solutions in the industry. Its intuitive interface makes it easy for store employees to use, and its all-inclusive price and durable infrared screen help keep the total-cost-of-ownership low. It also supports revenue generation with sophisticated merchandising functionality, such as discount combinations and loyalty programs.
The Nucleus POS system is compatible with numerous fuel dispenser brands, including non-Dresser Wayne dispensers.
