October 22, 2009: Upgradable Solution Supports Next-Generation Security Standard
Dresser Wayne (www.DresserWayne.com), a global innovator of fuel dispensers and technologies, previewed the Unattended Payment Terminal (UPT) configuration of the iX™ Pay Secure Payment platform at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) show in Las Vegas this week. This UPT configuration helps fuel retailers achieve the next level of security at the fuel dispenser.
"Building on our iX Pay Encrypting PIN Pad (EPP) offering, retailers can further enhance the security of the entire fuel dispenser payment terminal," said Tim Weston, product manager for payment technology at Dresser Wayne. "Our upgradeable iX Pay solution has been designed to allow retailers to leverage their EPP investment when they move to next-generation security standards, like UPT."
The Dresser Wayne iX Pay solution addresses the Payment Card Industry (PCI) UPT specification using a secure card reader, user prompt controls, and application software authentication, in addition to a secure key pad.
