December 14, 2009: Certification recognizes fuel dispensers and forecourt technologies provider for environmental and employee health and safety performance
Dresser Wayne (www.DresserWayne.com), a global leader in vehicle energy dispensing technologies, has been awarded the International Standards Organization (www.ISO.org) 14001 certification for major locations in North America, Latin America, Asia, and Europe.
ISO14001 is an environmental management standard that specifies environmental management requirements. It helps organizations identify the impact and risks associated with carbon emissions, energy and water use, and waste stream management, and develop programs that control and improve these areas. ISO is a non-profit organization that develops international standards for the manufacturing and delivery of products.
"This is a major milestone in our efforts to drive continuous improvement in environmental stewardship. We have dedicated considerable focus in this area throughout the company," said Neil Thomas, Global President, Dresser Wayne. "This benefits our environment, our customers, our employees, and our bottom line."
The Dresser Wayne product portfolio currently includes innovative solutions for delivery of green and renewable fuels, emissions reduction, and vapour recovery. These innovations help stakeholders across the ecosystem meet environmental and safety requirements, capture new business opportunities, and make a positive impact on the environment.
"We continually work to minimize impact of our product portfolio, operations, and extended supply chain on the environment, both now and in the future. Measurement programs, improvement projects, and employee training help to engage individuals at all levels of the organization in order to maintain sustainable progress," said Kevin Burnett, Sr. Director of Global Operational Excellence, Dresser Wayne.
